We keep as little as possible. Your PCN photos are processed to draft your appeal and are not saved on our servers. There are no user accounts. The only personal data we hold is an email address, and only if you choose to give us one.
When you photograph your PCN, or upload a rejection letter or demand (photo, screenshot or PDF) in Fight Back, the file is sent securely (over HTTPS) to our AI processing provider (Anthropic) to read it and draft your letter. The image is processed and a response is returned. We do not retain copies of your photos or the letters generated. Per Anthropic's API data policy, API inputs are not used to train their models. A penalty notice often shows your name, address and vehicle registration; those pass through the same processing and are not stored by us.
To save you retyping, the app can keep details read from your notice (such as your name, address and the PCN reference) in the app's storage on your own phone, so follow-up letters are filled in for you. This stays on your device, is not uploaded to us, and is removed if you delete the app.
The app records how it is used (which screens are opened, which buttons are tapped, whether a letter was generated) using PostHog, hosted in the EU, under an anonymous identifier. We never record the content of your notice or your letters, your name, or your address in analytics. This helps us see where the app is confusing or failing, and nothing else.
Fight Back escalation letters are an optional in-app purchase handled by the App Store or Google Play and processed by RevenueCat under an anonymous identifier. We see that a purchase was made and for which product; we never see your card or payment details.
After your letter is ready you can choose to give us an email address so we can check how your appeal went and send occasional updates about the app. This is optional, stored with our email provider (Resend), used only for those purposes, never sold, and every email carries an unsubscribe link. The lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us.
This website does not set tracking cookies.
The app displays advertising (Google AdMob) to keep the first appeal free. Ad providers may use a device advertising identifier and approximate location to show relevant ads. You can limit ad tracking in your device settings. Paid Fight Back letters are shown without ads.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent for emails. In practice the only thing we are likely to hold is your email address. Contact us and we'll respond promptly. You also have the right to complain to the ICO.
